Engineering & Testing
Tested Beyond the Datasheet.
Every design is simulated, built and proven on our own load benches before it ships.
Verified Under Real-World Electrical Stress
We test solid state switches with real current, full operational voltage, and reactive loads—not theoretical calculations.
High-amperage switching verification under sustained full-load and high-temperature conditions.
Testing inductive DC coils, solenoid valves, actuators, and motor simulation loads without contact arcing.
Rigorous testing of high inrush currents and capacitive power factors to ensure di/dt and dv/dt limits.
Full environmental thermal stress testing verifying insulation, potting, and semiconductor derating.
From Circuit Simulation to Full-Amperage Proof
How Unison ensures that every solid state relay endures up to 10¹¹ silent switching operations.
Design
3D PCB and mould design, thermal simulation and in-house prototyping.
- Substrate routing and trace width calculations matched to peak surge currents.
- Finite Element thermal modeling of heatsink profiles prior to extrusion tooling.
- 3D printer prototyping for rapid mechanical fit and enclosure validation.
Test
Resistive, inductive, capacitive and motor loads, at full voltage and current.
- Custom load benches switching up to 200 A AC and 125 A DC under real operational ambient temps.
- Multi-motor 3-phase inductive load setups for forward/reverse motor controllers.
- Inductive transformer and solenoid valve load banks validating snubber networks.
Prove
Power analysers, oscilloscopes and insulation testers verify every limit.
- High AC/DC voltage insulation testers with minute milliamp leakage trip settings.
- Harmonic analyzers and high-frequency pure-sine generators validating clean zero-cross switching.
- Digital storage oscilloscopes capturing peak blocking voltage (PIV 800 V) and transient spikes.
Built for Plastics.
A barrel, screw and heater rig simulates real extrusion for heat-only and heat-and-cool control.
In plastics extrusion and blown film manufacturing, heater bands cycle constantly. Contact bounce or thermal overshoot ruins polymer melt viscosity and causes line shutdowns. Unison built a physical barrel-and-screw test rig inside our Ahmedabad R&D lab to reproduce exact thermal mass and cooling inertia, verifying our Modbus temperature-control SSRs under actual operating profiles.
